🎵 Welcome to Your Online Music Lessons!

Here’s everything you need to know to get the most out of your lessons in Guitar, Drumkit, Bass, Logic Pro X, and Studio / Live Sound.

1. 👉 Before Each Lesson: What to Prepare

StepWhat to DoWhy It Helps1. Tech SetupHave Zoom installed + tested. Use Google Classroom for assignments/files.So we don’t lose time diagnosing tech issues.2. Camera & AnglePosition camera so I can see your hands + instrument clearly. For drums, also show feet.Better visuals = better feedback.3. Audio / InterfaceIf you have an audio interface, connect it. Use headphones (not speakers).Cleaner sound, no echo or feedback.4. LightingLight from the front or side. Avoid having a bright window behind you.Makes you and your instrument clearly visible.5. Materials & FilesHave your instrument tuned, your project open (for Logic), and any sheet music, backing tracks, etc. You’ll be ready to jump straight into learning.

2. How the Lesson Works (Zoom + Google Classroom)

  • We’ll use Zoom for live video/audio and screen sharing.

    • In Zoom settings, enable “Original Sound / High Fidelity Music Mode” if available.

    • Use Gallery / Speaker view depending on what we’re doing.

    • I might share my screen (e.g. Logic, notation, mixing) or ask you to share yours.

  • Google Classroom is where I’ll post:

    • Lesson materials (PDFs, tabs, backing tracks)

    • Assignments or practice goals

    • Resources and extra reading / listening

  • After each lesson, I’ll upload a summary + resources into our Classroom space so you can refer back.

3. Lesson Structure

Here’s a typical flow we’ll follow (adapted per subject):

  1. Warm-up / Check-in
Quick recap: how your practice went, any questions or issues

  2. Review Past Material
Go over what we covered last time; make sure it’s solid

  3. Introduce New Concept / Technique
One main focus per lesson—could be a riff, pattern, mixing trick, etc.

  4. Application & Play-Along / Demo
Use backing tracks, live demos, or shared projects to practice in context

  5. Wrap-up: Summary & Practice Plan
I’ll give you a short summary, plus concrete practice goals

4. Subject-Specific Tips

🎸 Guitar & 🎸 Bass

  • Always have a tuner, pick, and cables ready.

  • Keep your amp or interface setup simple for Zoom (so signal is clean).

  • Use backing tracks to practice rhythm and timing.

🥁 Drumkit

  • Ensure I can see both your hands and feet.

  • If it’s an electronic kit, route audio through an interface.

  • Use simple grooves first; we’ll build complexity gradually.

🎧 Logic Pro X & Studio / Live Sound

  • Before the lesson, open your Logic project (or DAW) and have it ready.

  • Use screen sharing so I can guide you through mix, editing, automation, etc.

  • For Studio / Live topics, I’ll demo mic placement, EQ, compression, routing — you follow along.

5. Practice & Progress

  • After each lesson, I’ll upload:

    • A summary / lesson notes

    • Backing tracks, exercises, stems

    • Extra resources or video links

  • Daily short practice (20–30 minutes) is more effective than one long session.

  • Use your Google Classroom as your reference hub — revisit old lessons, watch video examples, and track your progress.

6. Communication & Rescheduling

  • If you have questions midweek, send me a message via email or Classroom — I’m happy to help.

  • Please give 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule.

  • I’ll notify you in advance if I ever need to make changes from my side.
